Champion Mindset Consulting™ exists to serve athletes by providing top-notch Mental Performance Coaching services while utilizing sport psychology principles. Through this training, athletes learn to intentionally and consistently perform their best, prevent unforeseen mental blocks, and improve sport progression. They are also able to maintain an overall healthier approach to training as they progress through the three key phases of Mental Performance Coaching. CMC provides the most effective form of performance enhancement, which is crucial for all athletes who are serious about their sport.
Mental Performance Coaching consists of the teaching phase where skills such as visualization, cognitive reframing, relaxation, attentional focus, emotion control, positive self-talk, and more are learned.
From there comes the implementation phase, in which the athlete practices when, and how, to effectively utilize his/her skills. At this time, a personalized pre-performance routine (mental warm-up) is created specific to each athlete's individual needs.
Once the athlete understands how to utilize each skill, he/she enters into the maintenance phase where the focus shifts to maintaining the use of mental skills for top-level performances. The athlete's mental training and physical training run parallel, and complement each other, as the athlete progresses in his/her sport.
While group coaching can provide general teaching & training, it often lacks the depth and individualization needed to create real, lasting change. With individual coaching, I’m able to dive deep into the athlete’s unique experiences, challenges, and goals. We don’t just talk about broad topics like “confidence” — we pinpoint exactly where that confidence is breaking down in the gym or studio, and rebuild it with targeted mental strategies tailored to the athlete’s personality, learning style, and sport-specific demands.
Individualized coaching allows us to focus on what you need (not just what the group needs). Whether it’s managing fear on a particular skill, handling pressure during competitions or performances, or improving focus during class, rehearsal, or practice...we get into the nitty gritty. I'm talking about literally breaking down the biomechanics of the skill or step you're working on, and creating strategies (utilizing mental skills) to make it easier for you to successfully execute and build consistency. That level of depth and personalization simply isn’t possible in a group format.
This tailored approach leads to faster progress, stronger mental skills and most importantly.....real results.
Effective coaching isn't just about teaching mental skills — it’s about truly understanding the athlete on a deep, psychological level. It’s about stepping into their world, seeing their struggles through their eyes, and building trust that allows real growth to happen.
As someone with a background in ballet, I naturally connect with athletes in performance-driven, perfectionistic environments.....especially dancers and gymnasts. I understand the pressure to “get it right,” the weight of high expectations, and the constant push for flawless execution. I’ve lived it!
That lived experience allows me to connect more quickly and authentically with the athletes I coach. It helps me pick up on the unspoken fears, the pressure they put on themselves, and the way perfectionism shows up in their performance. This connection is what makes it possible to tailor effective strategies that fit that individual athlete.
When an athlete feels understood, they’re more open, more engaged, and more willing to do the work. And when mental skills are built from a place of genuine connection and sport-specific insight, the results go beyond performance. They build confidence, resilience, and long-term mental strength.
Coaching through the CMC app allows athletes to receive more consistent support, quicker feedback, and truly individualized mental training without the stress of traditional scheduling.
Instead of relying on weekly sessions, athletes actively engage with their mental training on a regular basis, take greater responsibility for their practice & progress, and communicate with me in real time. This leads to better results as skills are practiced more consistently and adjustments can be made when things are actually happening...not days later.
This model also removes the challenge of trying to fit one more appointment into an already packed schedule. High-level athletes juggle training, school, competitions, cross-training, physical therapy, rest/recovery, etc. into their schedules. Mental performance coaching should not be one more stressful "to-do" item. It should fit seamlessly into their day, not compete for their time & attention
By shifting away from session-based pricing, families receive high-quality, individualized coaching at a lower monthly investment than traditional weekly 1:1 sessions, which can often total $500+ per month.
Most importantly, this is 100% 1:1 coaching with Emily — not a course, not AI, and not generic content. The CMC app is a communication-based coaching platform. Athletes communicate with Emily through text, photos, audio, and video, allowing for a more personal, flexible, and effective coaching experience.
